Recently Bearded Brothers made an appearance at Rogue Equipment in East Austin to demo our energy bars before and after training runs, early on a Saturday morning. The bars were a huge hit. Everybody loved them, and had nothing but positive feedback.
The runners we fed were from all different levels of experience, from novice, to marathon runner. The longest run that day was 16 miles. The runners returning from that run were really glad to see us there, as well as Mel’s Meals who also was there handing out free meals to runners.
This past weekend Bearded Brothers also made an appearance at the Limestoner Climbing Competition at Remier’s Ranch, near Dripping Springs. Although, we were not able to be there in person, our bite-sized samples were handed out to participants. It as reported to us many of the climbers were enthused about the bars and recognized them from Austin Rock Gym (North & South Locations), which now carries the bars.
We also donated a case of bars for the silent auction. The auction benefits the Central Texas Mountaineers and the City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department. We were thrilled to donate the bars to help out these local causes. Austin has amazing parks and several climbing areas in-town, so the funds rose will be put to good use.
Bearded Brothers is growing fast. It’s crazy to think we only started in March; we already have secured several retail locations and have a hand full of partnerships in the works. We are experiencing so much growth; we could find ourselves hiring our first employee very soon.
We appreciate all the support you have given us so far. Keep spreading the love about our organic, raw, vegan energy bars.
Look for us this weekend at the SCS Climbing Competition 2011 at the South Austin Rock Gym. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the competition format is Repoint.
