Here's a delicious Date Shake recipe to cool off on a hot summer day!

Date Shake:


  • 2 large dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 Almond Butter Chocolate or Almond Butter Vanilla Energy Bar
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional toppings: chopped almonds, a drizzle of almond butter, or a sprinkle of cinnamon


  1. In a blender, combine the energy bar, chopped dates, almond butter, milk, banana, and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and smooth.
  3. Add the ice cubes and continue blending until the shake reaches your desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more dates if desired.
  5. Pour the milkshake into glasses and, if desired, top with chopped almonds, a drizzle of almond butter, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
